Before you call
Most installation jobs are straightforward when the new unit matches the old connection points. Costs rise when the outlet position, pipe size or wall type is different, for example a toilet bowl with a different floor outlet distance, or a storage heater moving to a new spot in the bathroom.
Each page explains the common types, what to check before you buy, how long the job takes, and a realistic price range for labour and the unit. If you are buying the unit yourself, send us the model on WhatsApp first so we can confirm it fits.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy the unit myself and just pay for installation?
Yes. Send the brand and model on WhatsApp before you buy so we can check it fits your existing pipes, outlet position and power point. Installation-only pricing applies.
Do you take away the old unit?
Removal and disposal of the old fitting can be included in the quote. Ask for it to be stated clearly so there is no surprise charge on the day.
Do I need a licensed plumber to change a toilet bowl or water heater?
Yes for a toilet bowl and for a storage water heater. PUB requires both to be installed or replaced by a PUB Licensed Plumber, and since 2018 it is an offence to engage an unlicensed one. Instant water heaters, taps, shower sets, basins and sinks can be installed by a general plumber or handyman. Electrical work such as a new power point needs a Licensed Electrical Worker.
Is there a warranty?
Units carry the manufacturer's warranty. Workmanship warranty terms will be stated on your quote.
