Plumber in Woodlands

Woodlands spans more than three decades of HDB building, from the first Marsiling blocks of the 1970s to Admiralty in the late 1990s and Kampung Admiralty in 2017. That spread means very different plumbing problems from one block to the next. WhatsApp a photo for a price range, 24/7.

Plumbing in Woodlands: what to know

  • Marsiling has Woodlands' oldest HDB flats, with blocks from 1972, and the main neighbourhoods followed in the mid-to-late 1980s. In flats this old, concealed water pipes are more likely to leak, and the repair can grow once the wall is opened. We show you the damage before quoting more work.
  • Admiralty (1996–97) and the Woodlands East blocks (1999–2004) are younger, but their original fittings and pipes are now 20 years old or more. Kampung Admiralty is newer still.
  • Common pipes and the main stack are the town council's job. Pipes and fittings inside your flat are yours. If a floor trap chokes from renovation debris, the owner pays under HDB rules.
  • Woodgrove holds most of Woodlands' private housing, both condos and landed homes. Pipes after the water meter are the owner's; condo residents should inform their managing agent first. We give a price range from a photo, so you are not paying transport just to find out.

Plumber in Woodlands: common questions

How is EmergencyPlumber different from the town council handyman?

The town council maintains common property in Woodlands, such as the main stack and corridor pipes, and may offer a handyman for basic jobs in your flat during office hours. We fix things inside your flat 24/7. You get a price range from a photo first, and the final price is agreed before we start.

How much does a plumber cost in Woodlands?

As estimates: floor trap choke $50–180, toilet bowl choke $80–150, exposed pipe leak $80–200, tap labour $50–120. A concealed leak in an older Marsiling or Woodlands flat is $250–600 for one short section, excluding retiling. Send a photo for a range for your case.

Can a plumber come to Woodlands at night or on a public holiday?

Yes. We are 24/7, including public holidays, from Marsiling to Woodgrove. We reply quickly and confirm the earliest slot on WhatsApp. Any after-hours surcharge is agreed with you before work starts.

My HDB pipe is leaking. Who should I contact?

A leaking main stack or corridor pipe goes to your town council. A pipe inside your flat after the water meter is the owner's, and we can fix it; water pipe work is done by a PUB Licensed Plumber. If the leak is through your ceiling, talk to the owner upstairs first, then your HDB Branch.

Can a plumber unclog a drain without hacking?

In most cases, yes. Toilet bowl, floor trap, sink and basin chokes are cleared with a plunger, auger or machine. Hacking is only needed if a pipe is damaged, and we tell you that before any work. Do not try to remove the floor trap yourself, as HDB rules say not to tamper with it.

How much does a plumber charge for 3 hours?

We do not charge by the hour. Each job has a price range, and the final price is agreed before work. For a sense of scale, drain pipe jetting takes about 1–3 hours and is usually $250–500, while most chokes are done in under 90 minutes.
