Plumbers by home type and urgency
24-hour plumber
A 24-hour plumber is one you can reach and get out late at night, and in Singapore that normally means a surcharge on top of the usual job price. We work 24/7, including public holidays: WhatsApp a photo and we confirm the earliest slot and the surcharge before anyone sets off.

When to call
- Water keeps leaking with the main valve shut, or the valve will not turn.
- Your only toilet is choked and overflowing.
- Dirty water is coming up through a floor trap.
- Water is leaking into the home below or towards power points.
- A storage heater is leaking from the tank, or trips the power every time it is switched on.
Common jobs
- Burst flexible hoses under sinks, basins and toilets.
- Overflowing toilet bowl and floor trap chokes.
- Stop valves and angle valves that seize or fail when they are finally turned.
- Leaking or tripping storage water heaters that need isolating.
- Kitchen sink chokes that back up into the floor trap.
Before you call
Safe things to try first
- Running cistern: close the angle valve behind or beside the toilet. It can wait until morning.
- Dripping tap or leaking flexible hose: close the angle valve under the sink or basin, or the main valve, and book a daytime visit.
- No hot water: switch the heater off and leave it off until someone can check it in normal hours.
- Slow basin or shower drain: stop using it overnight and use another one if you can.
Stop and call if
- The main valve will not shut, or water keeps coming after it is shut.
- Water is near electrical points. Switch off at the distribution board only if you can do it without standing in water.
- Sewage is coming up through the floor trap. In HDB blocks, call the town council's emergency maintenance hotline first in case it is the common stack.
What we do
- 1Ask what is happening, whether the main valve is shut, and your postal code and home type.
- 2Confirm the earliest slot tonight and the surcharge before anyone sets off. If the problem can safely wait until morning, we will say so and save you the surcharge.
- 3Make it safe first: isolate the leak, clear the overflow, or isolate the heater.
- 4Fix it on the spot if the parts are on hand. If not, make a temporary repair and return in normal hours to finish.
- 5Test the repair, clear up the work area, and go through the bill with the surcharge shown separately.
How much it costs
Most 24-hour plumber jobs in Singapore cost $40–$150 (after-hours surcharge, on top of the job price). This is an estimate; the final price is confirmed on WhatsApp or on site before work starts.
- Evening surcharge$40–$100
- Late-night surcharge$80–$150
- Public holiday surcharge$50–$150
- Emergency call-out, all-in$150–$350
HDB, condo and landed
HDB
Common stack or common pipe problems at night are handled by your town council's emergency maintenance hotline. Your main valve is at the meter in the corridor meter compartment.
Condo
By-laws may limit work at night, so ask security or management whether emergency repairs are allowed. Give security the plumber's name and vehicle number so they are not held at the gate.
Landed
Find the PUB meter near your gate before the plumber arrives and leave the gate light on. Underground leaks cannot always be fixed at night, but the supply can be shut and the job finished in daylight.
24-hour plumber: common questions
Is there really a plumber available at 3am in Singapore?
Yes. We work 24/7, including nights and public holidays. Be aware that some "24 hours" labels only mean someone answers the phone, so with any plumber, ask for the earliest slot and the full price, surcharge included, before anyone sets off.
What can safely wait until morning?
Anything you can stop by closing a valve: a dripping tap, a leaking flexible hose or a running cistern. No hot water can also wait, with the heater switched off. A slow drain can wait if you have another toilet or basin to use.
What should I do while waiting for a late-night plumber?
Keep the main valve shut, keep pails and towels under the leak, switch off the water heater, and keep children away from wet areas near power points. Have the meter location and a torch ready for when the plumber arrives.
Can parts be replaced in the middle of the night?
Common parts such as flexible hoses, angle valves and short lengths of pipe often can, if the plumber carries them. A specific tap, mixer, heater or toilet bowl usually cannot be bought late at night, so expect a temporary fix and a return visit.
Do I need to tell anyone before a plumber comes at night?
In a condo, tell security so they can let the plumber in. If water has leaked through to the home below, let the neighbour know. If the problem is in common property, call the town council or management instead of a plumber.
