What changes the price
- How many bars are fitted in the same visit.
- Bar type. Fold-up bars and long L-shaped bars need more fixings than a short straight bar.
- Wall type. Concrete and brick are straightforward; board partitions need cavity anchors or a backing plate.
- Tile condition. Old or hollow-sounding tiles crack more easily and may need extra care or a spare tile.
- Whether we supply the bars or you buy your own.

HDB vs condo vs landed
HDB
Usually at the low end. Walls behind HDB bathroom tiles are mostly concrete or brick and hold anchors well. If your household qualifies for EASE, HDB's subsidised rate is likely cheaper than any private quote.
Condo
Similar per-bar labour. Some condo bathrooms have board partition walls that need cavity anchors or a backing plate, which takes longer.
Landed
Same per-bar rate, but bigger bathrooms and staircases often need longer bars or more of them. Bars at outdoor steps need outdoor-grade stainless steel.

Is it cheaper to put up several grab bars at once?
Yes. Transport and set-up are paid once, so three bars in one visit cost noticeably less than three separate visits. Plan the toilet, shower and doorway positions together.
Should I use HDB's EASE scheme or a private installer?
If your household qualifies, EASE is heavily subsidised and usually the cheaper route, so check eligibility and current rates with HDB first. A private installer makes sense if you do not qualify, need bars in extra positions, want a particular style such as fold-up or nylon-coated, or prefer to choose the timing yourself.
Why does a fold-up grab bar cost more to fit?
It swings out from the wall, so all the load goes through one wall plate. That plate needs more and stronger fixings, and the wall behind it must be solid.
